DJ Queen G was birthed through the passion of music by Grace Berriman. At the tender age of 15, Grace bravely and courageously overcame a battle with cancer and is now a cancer survivor. This trial has made Grace more focused and determined to achieve her dreams. “Music makes me feel I can conquer anything” states DJ Queen G.
Grace has been a Rise Academy student from 2018 to 2020. Grace has studied the DJ course, Music production and the Advanced DJ course.
DJ Queen G has performed on big stages and has been an opening act for big names like Nasty C, Aka and Frank Casino. Grace has performed at U-party’s and has built up a good name for private parties ranging from 7 year olds parties to 60th parties, wedding anniversaries, corporate functions and formal dances. DJ Queen G has broken into the wedding market.
DJ Queen G is looking forward to what the future holds for her and is working on producing her own music.

We hired Grace Berriman – DJ Queen – for our twin girls 13th Birthday Party at the
Lions River Club in January 2020.
It was a great success and the girls and their classmates all LOVED it!
Grace had a feel for playing just the right music and kept enticing them back to the
dance floor where eventually they were all very reluctant to leave!
I would highly recommend Grace.

I would like to thank and compliment Grace for the part she played in making our Bollywood bash (My 50th ) such a wonderfully successful evening,
I have had so many compliments about the music that she put together for the evening.( two from the neighbourhood who were not there but they enjoyed the music.)How funny!
We had a fairly, large cross section of ages on the night…. 16 to 86
The youngsters were stoked with the mix of old and new sounds and the” Oldies “were giving it stick on the dance floor. (Two of them phoned the next day to say they had a ball and could not get out of bed that next day,
but it was worth it as they loved dancing the night away with all of us.)
Gracie manages her business well, from finding out what we were looking for in the music dept.
The way she and her crew quietly set themselves up and then the way she nailed the music.
A party we all enjoyed and still talk about.

Grace Berriman (aka Queen G) attended Rise Academy Durban and passed the Ultimate DJ Course in 2018 under the mentorship of myself and passed with flying colours. She was an exemplary student always going above and beyond in the work required to ensure our high standards were met.
Since graduating, Grace has proved to be one of our most successful DJ’s having performed at many birthday events, having also performed alongside major South African artists such as Timo ODV, Frank Casino and opening for both Nasty C and AKA.
Having recently passed our Music Production course in 2019, the sky is the limit with this young talent. Her pursuit of perfection and her collection of skills gathered in this short time made it an easy decision for us to choose her again as our 2020 resident durban DJ for our U-PARTY shows (her second year in this position).
I have no doubt that choosing DJ Queen G for any event in the future will be a success.
